Zus Health—a next-generation shared health data platform—announced a $40 million financing round and a strategic partnership with Elation Health to enhance data interoperability in primary care
Financing Details
Investors in this round include JAZZ Venture Partners, F‑Prime Capital, Maverick Ventures, and Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). Zus plans to use the funding to onboard more unique data sources, build workflow and referral solutions, and expand integration pathways so providers can leverage external patient data and maintain shared patient records
Partnership with Elation Health
Elation Health—a leading EHR for primary care—will integrate the Zus Aggregated Profile (ZAP), giving clinicians real-time access to comprehensive patient records from hospitals, clinics, labs, and pharmacies. Kyna Fong, Elation’s CEO, highlighted the collaboration’s impact: “it will drastically accelerate Elation’s ability … to reduce clinician burden, strengthen the patient–physician relationship, and drive primary care success”
The Problem & Solution
With patient data still fragmented, providers often spend more time collecting records than delivering care. Zus addresses this by creating a unified and actionable patient record—stored in a FHIR-native platform—facilitating real-time, cross-provider insights via its ZAP
Zus CEO Jonathan Bush commented: “We have found a critically important role for Zus as the common information ground … What has been long overdue is a vision of digestible, comprehensive patient information at the point of care”
Impact & Growth Plans
The ZAP platform enables providers to scale efficiently, improving workflow, patient outcomes, and cost savings by reducing duplicate tests. Zus aims to become the go‑to source for U.S. aggregated health records—replacing faxed PDFs with an “always‑on network of healthcare insights”
Andrew Firlik (Jazz Venture Partners) added: “Zus’s ability … to secure the capital … is a testament to … creating the connective tissue for healthcare”
With $40 M in funding and the Elation Health rollout, Zus Health is set to advance its mission to break down data silos and deliver unified patient information—ushering in a more connected, efficient, and value-based primary care experience.
